The Ultimate Spring Cleaning Checklist

Spring has finally sprung…and with it, the realization that some messes have piled up over the long winter months.

Luckily, warmer weather means renewed motivation to clean up. If it’s time to spring clean in your office, read on for the ultimate checklist to ensure maximum productivity.

  1. Update the landscaping
Your office could likely use some updates both inside and out. Once the snow has melted, invest some time and money into outdoor landscaping to ensure your office has a welcoming exterior. Inside, see if any pieces of furniture are broken and need to be repaired or replaced, and consider if it’s time for any new additions to the decor.
  2. Dust
A simple step, but one that’s easy to ignore: dusting. Dust all surfaces in the office, even ones that are too high or low to normally be seen. Be sure to dust from the top down to ensure that any falling dirt isn’t left behind.
  3. Sanitize
The worst of cold and flu season may be behind us, but seasonal allergies and other illnesses mean that germs still run rampant. Use disposable wipes, all-purpose cleaner and a sponge, or soap and water and a rag to sanitize appropriate surfaces and items. Pay close attention to items that see a lot of traffic, like door knobs, light switches, and microwaves.
  4. Deep clean the carpets

Spring cleaning only happens once a year – take advantage of it and be thorough. It may take some time, but at the end, you’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief as you breathe in the fresh air!
